| BBC Essex will be helping to raise funds by providing special programmes during the big day - Friday November 20th 1998. Hopefully our listeners will enjoy the programmes so much they'll all donate a pound to CIN - which will make the Essex total shoot through the roof! Our special programmes are based on the theme 'Radio paints great prictures' - and we'll be doing our own version of well known TV programmes. If you can't get to a radio, keep up with events on this website. |
Kay Bellwood will be attempting to 'make over' an office in a centre for homeless people, including young people, in Southend. |
Simon Baldock will be attempting to organise a 'make over' for one of the volunteers in the centre. |
Etholle and Jim, our popular Breakfast presenters will be instructed in the art of baking a Pudsey Cake by Beryl Tate, BBC Essex cook! (Rumour has it Pudsey is turning up!) |
The Anglia Poly University vs University of Essex will be a highlight on the Dave Monk Show at midday. |
Our reporter and animal lover, Renee, will be reporting from the RSPCA Wethersfield Animal Rescue Centre for a special feature in Steve Scruton's programme. |
A selection of the gaffs from BBC Essex - some that have never been aired before! |
A famous Essex personality has allowed us into their home and you have to guess who.... a pound for CIN a try and you could win a meal for two! |
AND THEN AT 5 PM........ Kay Bellwood and Simon Baldock will be presenting an extended Drivetime show at the Cramphorn Theatre in Chelmsford, in Duke Street until 9pm. We'll be meeting the fundraisers, featuring some live entertainment, including a local school chotr and a ground of children with special needs who are extremely talented. Ashley Cowan from the Essex County Cricket Club and some of Queen Victoria's enterage will be helping the evening go well too. It will be a great party atmosphere and you are welcome to join us by listening to BBC Essex, or if you have raised funds by coming along to the Theatre. |
